(These standards govern all editorial content on ceotxt.com. This page is informational and not legal advice.)

— — —

  1. Purpose and scope
    • This policy sets the rules for how we plan, create, review, publish, disclose, and maintain articles, guides, playbooks, FAQs, and other editorial content on ceotxt.com.
    • It sits alongside (and does not replace) our Privacy Policy and Terms.
  2. People‑first editorial principles (E‑E‑A‑T aligned)
    • We write for founders, CEOs, and leadership teams. Content must be useful, practical, and primarily created to benefit readers—not search engines.
    • We emphasize real‑world experience, clear methods, and measurable outcomes.
    • We aim to demonstrate Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness in every piece.
  3. Editorial independence and integrity
    • Editorial judgment is separate from commercial decisions. We do not sell positive coverage.
    • Mentions of CEOTXT products or competitors are held to the same sourcing and accuracy standards.
    • Potential conflicts of interest (ownership, investments, partnerships) are disclosed at the top of the relevant article.
  4. Bylines, dates, and transparency
    • Every article displays: author byline (linked to an author page), estimated read time, Published date, and Updated date.
    • Substantial edits include a short “What changed” note when appropriate.
    • Contact details for the publisher are available on this page and in the site footer.
  5. Authors, reviewers, and accountability
    • Authors: Named with role and relevant expertise. Author pages list credentials and links (e.g., professional profiles).
    • Reviewers/Editors: When specialist review is performed (e.g., finance, compliance), we add “Reviewed by [Name], [Role]”.
    • Accountability: A human editor approves every article and is responsible for final accuracy and clarity.
  6. Research, sourcing, and fact‑checking
    • Prefer primary sources (official documentation, standards, peer‑reviewed research) and reputable secondary sources (top‑tier journals, recognized publishers).
    • Claims and statistics include scope and timeframe (e.g., “as of Q2 2025”).
    • Quotes are accurate and attributed. Charts include sources, methods, and dates.
    • We avoid speculation presented as fact. When inferring, we state it clearly (“We infer…”).
    • We run originality checks on drafts and prohibit plagiarism.
  7. Citations and references
    • We use inline markers (e.g., [1], [2]) that map to a numbered References list at the end of the article.
    • Where applicable, we link to the source and include the source title, publisher, and year.
    • If a source is updated or retracted, we aim to reflect changes promptly.
  8. Use of AI in our editorial process
    • Acceptable uses: outlining, summarizing, language polishing, idea generation, data extraction from provided sources, and structural edits.
    • Prohibited uses: fabricating facts, inventing sources or quotes, and publishing AI‑generated content without human planning, verification, and approval.
    • Disclosure: Articles that used AI assistance include a brief AI disclaimer at the bottom.
    • Accountability: A human editor remains responsible for all content we publish.
    • AI images: If we use AI‑generated illustrations, we label them “Illustration generated with AI.”
  9. Updates, corrections, and retractions
    • Corrections: We correct material errors as soon as reasonably possible and add a “Correction” note at the end of the article describing what changed.
    • Updates: For evolving topics, we update sections and adjust the “Updated” date; for significant changes we add a brief “What changed” note.
    • Retractions: If a piece is fatally flawed, we may unpublish it and leave a retraction notice at the original URL (or redirect with explanation).
  10. Disclosures and labels (ads, affiliates, sponsorships)
    • Sponsored: A company paid for the content. Sponsors do not control our conclusions. Labeled “Sponsored” at the top.
    • Partner: Content co‑created/distributed with a partner. Labeled “Partner Content.”
    • Affiliate: We may earn a commission if you purchase via a link; this never affects your price. Labeled near the first affiliate link and/or at the top.
    • Owned product: If we discuss a product we own or sell (e.g., CEOTXT), we disclose ownership at the top.
    • Global norms: We aim to meet or exceed disclosure standards such as the FTC Endorsement Guides (US) and ASA/CAP (UK) for recognizable ad labeling (e.g., “Ad”, #ad), and we apply equivalent transparency in other regions.
    • Gifts/loans: We disclose material gifts, loans, or incentives. Acceptance does not guarantee coverage and never guarantees positive conclusions.
  11. Product reviews, evaluations, and comparisons
    • When we compare tools or methods, we state our criteria, data sources, and limitations.
    • Testing: If we test products, we describe our environment (versions, dates) and note constraints.
    • We do not sell editorial placement or positive reviews. Paid placements are labeled as Sponsored.
  12. Imagery, charts, and media usage
    • Licensing: We use original, licensed, or public‑domain media with proper credit.
    • Edits: Cropping/adjustments must not change the meaning of the visual.
    • Alt text: Meaningful alt text is provided for important images and charts.
    • Captions/credits: We include concise captions and credits where appropriate.
  13. Accessibility and readability
    • Clear heading hierarchy (one H1 per article).
    • Readable typography and sufficient color contrast; meaningful link text; keyboard‑navigable accordions.
    • Image alt text and table headers where relevant.
    • We target clear reading levels without diluting subject‑matter accuracy.
  14. Privacy and security in editorial operations
    • Editorial operations respect user privacy. For data handling (cookies, analytics, forms), see our Privacy Policy.
    • We do not publish confidential or non‑public information shared under NDA.
    • We remove or redact sensitive personal data upon verified request where legally appropriate.
  15. Reader feedback, right of reply, and complaints
    • If you spot an error, missing source, or bias, email post@ceotxt.com with the article URL and details.
    • We log credible reports, review them, and respond with an outcome (correction, update, clarification, or no change) as appropriate.
    • Individuals or organizations named in an article may request a right of reply; we will consider fair and relevant responses.
  16. User‑generated content (UGC)
    • We currently do not host public comments. If/when UGC is enabled, a Moderation Policy will define approval, removal, and reporting processes.
  17. Republishing and quoting policy
    • You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link to the original article.
    • Reproducing full articles or extensive sections requires written permission from the publisher.
    • Do not mirror our content without consent.
  18. Legal and professional disclaimers
    • Our content is general information for operators and executives. It is not legal, financial, medical, tax, or investment advice. Consult qualified professionals for your situation.
  19. Search and platform alignment
    • Helpful, people‑first content: Our goal is usefulness and reliability for readers.
    • Transparency: We provide clear bylines, dates, publisher info, and contact details.
    • Anti‑spam: We do not deploy scaled, low‑value auto‑generated pages intended to manipulate rankings.
    • Technical hygiene: We maintain canonical URLs and avoid deceptive link schemes.
